An Event for Understanding Between the Syndicate and Tehran University of Medical Sciences Was Held in Erbil
As part of the syndicate’s programs to advance the scientific level of nurses and health workers, and in a continued effort to better serve, today, 24/09/2025, after welcoming a delegation from Taran University for Medical Sciences, a special ceremony was held in the Sheraton Hotel hall. The event was organized by the syndicate leader, deputy, senior team members, branch supervisors, the management team, and the representatives of the syndicate’s advisory board.
The ceremony began with a one-minute pause to honor the pure souls of the martyrs. Then, the syndicate leader, Jabar Muhammad Rahim, delivered a welcoming speech, followed by remarks from the deputy leader, Eisa Khanoo, and Professor Dr. Hamdiya Mir Khan, outlining the content of the understanding between the syndicate and the university, as well as the level and method of study at Taran Medical University.
Next, a representative of Taran Medical University explained the university’s facilities and offerings for nurses and health workers from the Kurdistan Region who plan to study in Iran. Additionally, a representative from the Biological Sciences Faculty of the Islamic Republic of Iran provided important clarifications regarding the practical aspects of work, strikes, and activities related to education.
Several questions were then directed by the participants to the delegation’s representatives.
Notably, according to this memorandum of understanding between the syndicate and Taran University, in addition to special tuition fees, the university facilitates the process of obtaining visas, accommodation, residency permits, and all related arrangements and approvals for study through the syndicate’s representatives. This agreement aims to support all nurses and health workers who wish to pursue higher education (Master’s and PhD levels).
